1993 300d Reset codes
Ok built the code resetter, then realize my 300d does not have pins 14 and 8. Those pins are blank on the X block.
How do I use the code resetter to clear the codes since I do not have pin 14 and pin 8.
I can hook up to pin 1 and 16 but is that enough to reset it?

1993 does not have a CEL. Put a normal wastegate on the turbo and plug the EGR vacuum tube and all computer limits on engine performance will be eliminated.

I would rather clear the codes, wait for them to come back then begin fixing what is causing the problem.
My mechnical can clear the codes.
But lets say I follow you advice.
Where do you even get a 'Normal waste gate"? (for a 1993 300d)
Thanks in advance.

I really need an answer to this one, can someone (Aurthor) please chime in.
The car is stuck back in limp mode now and I am not about to take it back to the shop just to have the codes reset.
Please assist, need to reset the codes on a 1993 300d.

Go to peachparts.com and do an advanced search for "Arthur Dalton code reader". "Blink codes" might work also.
It will pull up a couple of thousand hits. You'll have to weed through the posts to find the codes and procedures for your year.

Thanks, already built the Arthur Dalton code reader..
Needs to use pin 8 or 14 depending on the subsystem you are pulling codes from.
However a 300D 1993 has no pins on 8 and 14.
They are blanks, and I am having no luck finding how you reset or pull the codes on these desiels.

Good call. I found the the X block pin 4 is the one I needed for the diesel codes.
Took a ton of reading, but I think that is it.
Pin 1 ground, pin 4 neg side of led, last is power (use battery).
I will post more once I finish testing.
