Won't start-GP's not working
'83 300SD, just got out of the shop after replacing GP's and primer pump, had GP module replaced a month prior. GP light stopped working, car takes an hour to start (if at all). I've gone through dieselgiant's GP diagnostic. Here's the thing: Zero ohms between socket and wires (all of them). GP's test fine. Voltage is 11.8 at Key On, solenoid clicks off and voltage rises to 12.8. Same readings at primary power & both sides of strip fuse. Voltage to GP's are 11.8 at Key On, Zero when solenoid clicks off.
BTW I had an Elsbett SVO conversion performed on this car 3 years ago. I never had a problem until now, but haven't used SVO for several months. In fact, I've hardly ever used it after VO prices went up. Consider it just extra electrical components that can go bad.

Plenty of time for it to choke the engine.
Elsbett does not make "conversions", they make expensive filters that do nothing to remove the damage-causing glycerin in vegetable oil.

Wow, what do you know, your comments magically fixed the car! I've ran maybe 75 gallons of SVO the entire time, but thanks for asking.
Now um, is there anyone that actually has advice on troubleshooting this?

Plenty of oil to cause damage. About 20% of VO is glycerin, which means you've basically run a full tank of if through your engine.
You got the correct answer; remove the "conversion" and start the process of degumming the engine with diesel and your glowplugs will stop prematurely burning out.
