2008 Sprinter 2500 diesel transmission trouble!
Had transmission flush because I had trouble getting out of park smoothly. Sometimes there would be a noticeable "thunk" as is shifted from Park to Reverse. What other engine components would cause this to happen. I find if move shift lever with and controlled/smooth effort I can mnimize the "thunk".

are you parking on an incline (even a slight one) that is loading up the system? Try applying the parking brake with the vehicle in Neutral. Let the brake take the vehicle load. Then put in in Park.
