MB bluetec lawsuit in USA

The letter I received mentions the settlement and it clearly states that to qualify for any money from settlement the repairs must be made and a copy of the work order must be submitted with claim for money, so repair then submit.
I had not contacted any attorney before this but I have now so when repairs are complete I will know who to submit claim for money to.
on the question of timing chain, I’m not any expert at all but I would think then Dealer would have to test for and agree that timing chain needs replaced, it is mentioned as a covered item

Hi! Curious as I'm waiting for a notification and taking it to Gilbert at LB mercedes what is your year and model.
It's a good sign that California cars are getting worked on.
For some reason a 12'GL is pushed back to Q3. But listed on EPA site as available now.
Could we start a list of who's gotten notifications with what cars and states seems like the bluetec update site isn't consistent with EPA.

I'm in FL. for the winter. Up until a couple weeks ago I was still getting Christmas cards, so I don't know if they sent me a letter yet. I checked the Update site and it said I was eligible so I called the dealer. He asked me if I got a letter and I told him my situation. He asked for the last 7 of my VIN and then asked me when I wanted to bring the car in. It's a '15 ML 651 engine.

What FL Dealer you going to use? I am thinking Gainesville is who Imwill call next week. Really like Pinellas Park by Clearwater but happy with Gainesville and more convenient for me.

So, for a car with a tune, with EGR, Adblue, and dpf tuned off, along with stage 1. What will happen after going in the dealer?
I am assuming that they reflash the ECU, and there goes the tunes. If there were any issues with the emission systems that were problematic, will they go ahead and just fix them? The car will be going in without check engine light. And I am also assuming that they are not going to check your ecu before doing the reflash.
Any thoughts?

The settlement website is up, but you need the fix before submitting. Its not clear when they send you the check since they have to check for prior owner claims?

I find it funny that they try to dance around the heater assembly, but the temperature sensor unit is listed, and is part of the heater assembly, as well as the fill sensors. I just popped a fill sensor fault on Friday, I guess I will be discussing this with my local dealer....

Yup the site is up and looks like cars in EPA emc category 1-4 are ready to be fixed.
This may be an oversight but EMC 4 is the ML and GL. The entire category was stated to be ready upon passing. But it seems now only MLs have been flagged to start.
Anyone with a 10-12 GL in Emc 4 have any luck finding out why it's not able to be repaired.
Other notes the website shows some bonus money also says that modifications must come in in stock form to be repaired.

My appointment for the fix is March 29th. Amazing though, they told me a loaner is “not available” for this mandated repair. (This is the dealer I purchased the vehicle 7 1/2 years ago)

I'm really worried about doing the AEM.
We have 2 affected vehicles: a GLK250 and a Sprinter 2500 (92K and 36K, respectively). Both run perfectly. How will they run after the AEM? Yes, I know there will be an extended warranty, but if they cannot fix a problem the warranty is of limited use. And if performance is drastically affected, I don't think the warranty applies (no given level of performance is warranted). So I'm reticent to avail myself of the offer, especially as we have until October 2022 to do the fix. What do y'all think?

I had an estimate for $6,270 (dealer) for a new oil cooler, intake manifolds, and lower oil pan for a 84K mile 2014 ML350 Bluetech that is dripping oil last week. I was told this is a 22.5 man-hour job, but I'll get a loaner!! (at over $6K...perhaps a Maybach ![Wink](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
I asked the dealer representative about this settlement, and if anything applies to me. She gave me MB customer service number, which only took a short poll, and then hung up! Clever.
I can see this is going to be a tough road. Any suggestions?

Yes. I checked the VIN on the site, and my car is included. I have not received mail nor email of the "notification". I hope this is not pay-up-front. Access to emission components includes access to some of the parts my dealer wants to replace. I am hoping if the MBclaim is honored, the dealer will adjust his estimate. Wish me luck.
