2013 mercedes benz glk 250 leak
got home and noticed oil under the car looked like engine oil so i jacked it up and looked under and it was coming from where the drive shaft goes in to the transfer case on the engine side there is also a c ring that was down on the shaft like a c clip you press together and push in and oil shooting out of the shaft area no shops are open near me because of long weekend but was wondering if this is something i could do my self im a reefer technician so dont work on drive train to much so dont know about it but im vary good with diesel engines so anyone that has knowledge on this shoot me a message

So depends how you feel about taking your time and getting the tools, you can consider a shop.
Sounds like you lost oil from TC, so don't drive the car now.
hi so for everyone that ever does have this issue I ended up going to Mercedes and the issue was oil pan so the drive shaft for drivers front tire goes through the oil pan with bearings on each end
so I was quoted 2000$ for the job
the pop I heard on the highway was the shaft bearing and then because I kept driving the shaft was slightly bouncing around inside the tunnel that it goes through the oil pan and caused a crack so the black oil leaking out was engine oil
also to every one else trust eventually reaches 350k plus kms those shaft bears go bad and should be a maintenance thing for high millage
