Love my ML250
I realize most threads here are about problems with our vehicles but with one exception my ML has been great I can drive the 1200 miles from my home in Ohio to Naples FL. on 1 and 3/4 tanks of fuel fully loaded. I hardly ever get less then 30mpg on a tank of fuel.
I did buy the 3yr extended warranty just before my factory warranty ran out.

Lovely engines (I have them in 3 vehicles).
Too bad having them in ML makes it unicorn. Even sedans with OM651 are very rare in USA.
Are you waiting for $3000 check from class action suit?
And again. love topic without pictures is worthless.

You better have Goldwing trike in this trailer.
When years ago I started to buy white cars for practical reasons, over the years I actually develop taste for it.

When I’m in Ohio, there are three white cars in the garage. When in FL. I only have the ML and the 911. No trike for me, I had to stop riding 4 years ago, back problems. 58 years and over 200k mikes.

I agree about the drive train being perfect for an SUV. I was originally looking for a used ‘14 6cyl BT, but couldn’t find one locally. My dealer said just drive the 2.1 and see how you like it. I was amazed at the power. He gave me a good deal and I bought it. It is now 6 model years old and I will keep it at least 2 more years. Maybe more.

Funny the engine is detuned in my Sprinter down to 161 HP. Still with 7G it climbs the freeway grades just fine. Only initial take off is a bit annoying, but than we are talking 22' long and 10 foot tall van.
Suppose MB USA will bring OM654 engine in 2021 to this country, but I am not holding my breath, while holding to my present engines.
Fact that $3000 checks are "in the mail" is not rushing me neither.

OM642, when delivering nice torque, stays way behind 4-cylinders in easy to repair, while minimal HP gain brings 20% fuel penalty.
OM654 not only brings better performance comparing to older 4-brother, but has new technology that should extend its life.
Not that average owner really need more than 600,000 miles the older engines seem to last.
