Malone tuning 2013 GL350 stage1

Hi

Just got my car Malone tuned on Stage 1. After tuning i found throttle body flap fluctuating itself and causing loss of power. Has anyone else had this issue or does anyone knows that throttle body needs to be unplugged after the tune. I have not found this anywhere, only found that EGT and Ad-blue module needs to be off. here is video of flapping.

Just saw this thread, hope it is not too late. I also have Malone stage 1 on my OM642. The symptoms I noticed were under cruising or very light load, the engine seems to fluctuate by itself with a perfect pattern. But the car drove great under acceleration. That led me to believe the ECU was tricked to do something or it was trying to do something. I asked Malone about it, and they suggested try unplugging the throttle body. I did that recently, and the symptoms disappeared. The only negative result of that was the engine shutdown is not as smooth as before, but it never bothered me. The car drive so much better though.

exactly same happened to me. But for me the pattern showed back on turbo even after unplugging throttle body, I asked Malone for retunning, they referred me to a different shop and tried few tunings that in the end solved the issue, Throttle body is plugged now

How does your new tune compare to the Malone tune in terms of fuel economy, drivability, and power delivery? I've been considering trying a new tune lately.

Thank you for discovering about the Intake throttle. After I had Malone tune my ECM, I was having the same issues along with a code. Rob at Rawtek helped with sending my ECM back and no code so far, but neither informed me about unplugging the throttle body. The re-tune helped but was still having this issue albeit to a lesser degree. I was guessing but didn't know for sure the cycling on/off was the air intake throttle (642 090 02 70). I unplugged it this morning and am so, so very happy. Seat of the pants says more power and it shifts better.

Thank you!
DD
