99 E300 D No Start & How to bypass
Hi everyone, I have the above car and no start on the key (nothing) it hasn't run in quite awhile so I want to get it running. I scanned and I have the EIS/SAM failure but I still would like to hear it run. Can I turn on the key and cross over on the starter to get it to fire up? It's all mechanical so technically it should unless there is a better way. M606 engine

Your HP fuel pump is electronically controlled, even when pump part is all mechanical.
Hacking digital car can end pretty badly if you don't know precisely what you are doing.
What's the car voltage? No lights when you turn the key? Do you hear steering wheel blockade moving when you insert the key?

Cluster lights come on and the steering unlocks just no rolling over. started intermittently then it would only roll over a couple times and stop, then nothing at all.

Have not experienced it personally, but K70 relay is famous on those cars.
benzworld has good archives on W210 generated by very knowledgeable people in the past. Only new "crew" seems to make 100 replies topics about nothing.

Nope. Just covering the bases. Your description sounds exactly like a weak battery that you've run dead, and nowhere did you mention that you've charged, tested or otherwise eliminated the battery as the problem.

Than you don't disclosure your qualifications for battery testing?
Did you load test it, or CA test ?

Until you can provide more information, that's the most likely cause.
Why don't you just try running a jumper wire from the battery plus to the starter solenoid?

not sure what info is required. I have said 4 times the battery is good. What more can I say? I have dash lights, steering unlocks, fuses all good.

Injection pump is HP pump and again, it is electronically controlled.
You seem to post under 2 different handles and are not answering the questions in straight way. That puts the topic in "garbage in, garbage out" category.
Again, you are not posting technical results, when not knowing your knowledge the "its good" answer is not sufficient.
Post the numbers and we can go from there.
