Does anybody know what this hose is? Looks like it connects into the engine then goes to the front of the car. It's leaking and I need to replace it, but not sure how to go about finding it.
OK, for those very few of you who are interested, the line appeared to be leaking oil, but actually it is an AC line A2218308115. I was able to see the label on it. It appears to be leaking oil which is actually coming from somewhere else.
Leaky AC lines look like they're leaking oil because the oil from the system is all you see. Spray some soapy water on the line and look for bubbles.
That sounds reasonable, but the oil I'm seeing is black, indicating that it's more likely engine oil. I did wipe the area down and when it reappeared, it was immediately black.
Trace that pipe and see where the oil is getting on it, could be where the #610 o-ring is on the diagram. Assume that is the air intake above that pipe in your pic? Sorry I have a OM651 in mine so different beast.

I'll just have to get under the car with a flashlight and see if I can figure it out. Leaks can be tough to trace. I also own an OM651 car as well.
For those of you who own OM642 and are interested, I figured out a little more about this issue. There is a leak coming from the front of the engine somewhere that is getting onto the serpentine belt and in turn slinging the oil. That's why it hit that AC line and the area around it. Haven't diagnosed any further yet, but that's the latest observation. Not sure what all is in the front of this engine that could leak in that way.
