Autel MaxiCom MK900 BT test.
When we bought it, I bought a Icarsoft MB2, which I used a lot, but always felt it lacked some abilities.
But when our ML went into have the Diesel Update, I believe the engine ECU was changed and the MB2 couldn’t read it anymore.
I was using an Autel Bluetooth reader linked to my phone. It was glitchy, and seemed to struggle.
So, battling a cascade of CELs I thought I’d get something better.
Bought the Autel MaxiCom MK900 BT.
It was $600.
First impression were good.
Charged the onboard battery to 100% while doing the registration and updates.
No subscriptions to pay.
Plugged the Bluetooth adaptor into the ML, and it connected fast, and was able to read the VIN, and codes faster than anything I’ve used before.
I was able to read the engine ECU, transmission, AC, Adblue levels, etc.
But there was more.
I can also see options to do a manual DPF regen, reset adaptations for various parts and sensor replacements.
Never had access to this level of detail before.
But there is a second page too.
I was able to reset the MAF sensor adaptations, which you are supposedly to be done after an air filter change.
I know it’s $600, and maybe there are other options out there for less, but so far I think it’s good.
Happy to test further and answer any questions about its abilities or explore for anyone else.
