2010 E63, Iridium Silver, Black, Dark Ash, Distronic Plus, Night Vision, Premium
various types. The result was hoplesly loud and unconfortable. I had the
stock mufflers reinstalled (what a relief that was) before I traded the coupe for
the E63 (what a reilef it THAT was!).
The shop that did my work, had a CLS there with just the mid resonator (an
x-pipe in a way) replaced by straight pipes. It sounded really nice and deep but
not loud. It is simple to do and undo. I would try this if I were keeping the
coupe.

No, I did not remove the resonators in the coupe. I traded it for the E63
and I am happy with the sound for now. If I decide to do something to
enhance the exhaust, I will start with the resonators (I guess they would be
called "rear resonators")
