None of that is of your concern. I didn't buy it new and don't plan on selling it. I never said I had any expectation of getting anything back for my mods. I mod because I like it. OH...It was only my opinion... my ***. You knew what you wanted to do by offending E coupe owners on their own forum...not yours!!! You don't own one. I'm sure you will never own one untill they hit your price range in maybe 5 years. Your current car is used...second owner..or third...value high $13,000. In your better that factory condition. I'll tell you what, take your car to a dealer tomorrow and try to trade it in on a E 350 Coupe Then post a verified copy of what the dealer offered you. In order for you to buy a Hyundai Genesis Coupe the picture you posted. They are goig to need your car and $10,000. For my 2010 MB E350 I get two Gensis coupes and no extra money. This is my last post on this thread. I would hope you would not post to this forum unless you buy a 350/550 Coupe or have something intelligent to say (which I highly doubt). Bye...Bye...poser!!!

A poser purports to be something that they really aren't. Like someone who drives a used Mercedes instead of a new one. But still feels that they have a right to disparage those who can afford to purchase a new Mercedes. Usually it's done to make those who can't feel better by critizing those who can. Ride on Big Dog!!! Had it not have been for your initial comments I would never had criticized your car. It actually looks really nice for a 2004.

I actually rather like my E coupe. It's more comfortable than my (gone) E60 BMW. It looks really stylish as well.
The new Hyundai looks really cool but it's still a Hyundai. Let's be frank, we purchase Mercedes partly for its name and presence. I don't think you will get the same kind of reaction if you pull up on a Hyundai Genesis rather than a Mercedes Benz E coupe. Those who say "I buy it ONLY for its performance" are the rare ones. It's like saying "I fell in love with this girl ONLY because of her personality." Look and personality both matter.

The fact that you keep bringing up value of cars and new vs old shows how shallow your are. So if I had a 2011 s-class you would respect my opinion??? You sound like an @$$hole! I don't have to own one to develop an opinion on how it looks.
My initial comments were that the E class coupe looked like a Hyundai. In no point in time did I say anything about YOUR car. You decided to take shots at me and my car because you didn't like my opinion. It shows how low you are, and comparing the value and saying "Mine is new and yours isn't" shows exactly how much I'm under your skin.
Even you fellow E350 owner Krypae agrees with me in post #7 of this thread. And he made his point, MB is MB and Hyundai is Hyundai. You the only one that decided to play forum police and take shots at my car, my income, and me for no reason. You need to grow up and realize people will always have opinions.

I'm saying that if you could afford an E Coupe you might better understand. The Hyundai reference isn't even worth repeating, you just keep bringing it up. The E Coupe is a marvelous car which Autoworld has described as the most technologically advanced car in production today(includes coupe and sedan). The E's have received rave reviews. Both the 550 coupe and sedan and the 350 coupe and sedan. I'm not stooping to anything. I'm just giving my opinion. You own a 7 year old Mercedes worth probably less than $16,000 and looks horribly dated. It reminds me of the old Chevy II's. Bet you didn't buy it new.

I think a 2004 CLK is an absolutely gorgeous car. Sporty and luxurious lines. I love seeing them on the road. Always great looking cars.
The E Coupe was a big change for me at first, but I like it now too.
Both are great cars and attractive cars. There is obviously some middle ground depending on preference which is the better design.
I think non car people really don't know what cars are what (NOT the people here, other people).
At Starbucks I had a barista ask me if my SLK was a Honda or a Ford, one or the other she was certain.
When I said, kindly, it was a Mercedes-Benz, "oh well it sure looks like the Ford and Honda."

Actually mac911 I agree with you. The 2004 CLK is a great looking car. In the photos Dynomite05's CLK looks immaculate and with his extensive list of mods (which are not cheap) I'm sure he has a really nice ride that he takes great pride in as I would if it were my car. In the heat of battle I took a number of cheap shots that were not called for. I just recently read that Hyundai is redesigning their complete line up. Maybe this time they will choose to copy Maserati or Bently.

Boy and I thought that I didn't play well in the sand box.
Getting back on topic I have to agree that there is very little info in regards to the vehicle, whether it be changing the air filters to K&N, upgrading the brake pads so they don't make a mess of your wheels or even adding a pager remote to the factory alarm so you know when someone is messing with your vehicle. I bought the v-6 not because of price but because of gas mileage costs.
Just finishing a 5000 mile trip up and down the coast I averaged 30 mpg(us) an could not believe on how many people are doing the speed limit of only 1 mile over, in canada we don't even open our eyes for at least 13 over and thats in the city on the highway we usually wake up to 30% over and only if we have had our coffee already
