Should I get E350 Sedan or Coupe?

Hi guys,

I'm deciding between E350 sedan and Coupe. I have a family so 4-doors will be ideal but I've already have a C63 and Lexus rx350 so this feature is not essential. However, the ride of my C63 is bone shattering especially when going through bumps.

Pros of E350 are comfort, 4-door.
Pros of Coupe are styling, price

Please help me choose!

2010 E350 Coupe
The Coupe

I also already have two other vehicles that provide plenty of room for transporting family and friends. Therefore, I went for the E350 Coupe. Although it’s not my everyday driving car. It is my fun car. I don't drive it on bad weather days; therefore, it stays clean all the time. In the three and a half months, that I've had my Benz it still has less than 700 miles on it. There are differences between the coupe and the sedan other than just four vs. two doors. For example, 4matic is only available on the sedan, and actually, they are two very different cars if you look closely at the specs. So check them out carefully. It just depends on what you really want the car for. I wanted the sporty look of the coupe and have no need for a sedan. In fact sense I’ve owned my coupe I've never had anyone even ride in the back seat and really don't intend to ever have back seat passengers. Good luck choosing. They are both very nice cars. Let use know witch one you end up choosing. Hope this opinion helps.

Coupe it up - I had the situation with having a family also but since we already have a sedan(Acura RL) and 4x4(4runner) my clk55 was a no-brainer!! Good Luck!

CLC Coupe
Coupe for the design but getting in and out from the rear is cumbersome. Apart from this, the headroom from the rear is kinda of small for a 6 footer. Becos of these issue, i choose the cabrio instead.

I just test drove the E550 Coupe today, and it was a fantastic car. It looked gorgeous in person and drove nice.

However, the reality has hit me a moment ago. Maybe it's because of the summer heat but I almost forgot that I live in Canada and I get tons of snow. If I get this coupe, I'll have 850hp of RWDs and two FWD Lexus.(My xdrive bimmer is gone)

I'm ruling out the Coupe for now. Thanks guy!!

Good set of winter tires and you have all the nanny fetaures on it...piece of cake. 4matic is overrated anyways. Dynamic Handling/Stability Control is what you need in winter more than anything...4 cars, where do you find the time to drive them all? lol

E350 Coupe
To me it's a no brainer. I'm an empty nester (kids are grown and gone). I am a coupe man. Buy yourself a treat...the coupe is sexy as hell. I'm a two coupe man, parked beside my E350 black coupe (when I joined I was planning on steel grey but my wife wanted black) is a black Infiniti G35 coupe I bought myself as a retirement present. You have family haulers. Your not going to want to drive the E550 in the winter anyhow.

11 E550 Cabriolet
Since you stated you already have your daily drivers in the corral and all are hardtops why not treat yourself to an E550 Cabriolet. Why have another hardtop when for just a little more you can have that luxury rag top you deep down always wanted.

That's what I did and expecting my new toy to arrive mid - end Oct.

E350 Coupe
That's one step above my suggestion of just a pure coupe...but a vert would be an eccellente choice. I'm sure the rest of the family will love it Go ahead....ask them if they would love a new MB E class convertable.

Driving both cars is the only way to make a decision. The cars are quite different with coupe on a C chassis and the sed on the E chassis. We all have different preferences and only one person can make the choice for you and that's you.
The majority on this board prefer the coupe because that was their choice also. If you ask the same question on the W212 board they will prefer the Sed. In my case the main consideration was 4Matic and that eliminated the coupe.
Either way you won't be disappointed with either car.

E350 Coupe
As far as I'm concerned a Mercedes chassis is a Mercedes chassis is a Mercedes chassis. Be it a C or E chassis. I'll bet you can't tell the difference. It's more about four doors versus that sexy coupe. As sexy as the coupe is a vert would really be a treat. I hope your wife doesn't read these threads....top down, sunshine, Armani sun glasses, an 18 year old blond by your side, Oh daddy I just love this car. Catch my drift?

That is not true. There is a difference of 7" in length between the two cars and the ride is not the same. Don't get me wrong,I am not suggesting that one is better than the other, simply that they are not the same car.
The coupe will appeal to women and younger drivers. The Sed demographics are more towards the middle age male. My wife has had three CLKs and would still be driving the coupe if it had 4Matic.
