E350 Coupe (2010)

Tint / Felt inserts

Anyone have the coupe and had Tint installed? Is the felt a must have on this model? My old C class destroyed a tint install and at the time the moleskin inserts weren't easy to find. Hoping that the larger Tint shop here has a clue on the issue and how to rectify it.

Had my coupe done twice, the first time they put the tint to the edge of the glass and in less the a week it was peeling. The second time the tint was placed about 1/4" below the top of the glass and it is over 3 months without any problems.

bought my E550 in May and had the car tinted with Llumar Formula One a week later. 5k miles and no issues.

Good to know. Thanks for all the responses. The tip about having the tint stop 1/4 inch below the window edge probably will save me a huge mess.

2010 E 550 Coupe

I had mine tinted without any felt, with no issues. The place that did it was familiar with the mb windows and kept the car a little longer so I dried better.

My tints were installed to the tip of the window and then shaved. The tint looks like it came from factory, you don't see an cut off. I didn't use the felt either.
