I do have front plates, just for a while i wasn't running with plates. The plates I've got are vinyl reflective but offset to the side and cut around the parking sensor and light washer housing. Full legal size and spacing so generally they won't do a great deal, if they wanted to they could tell me to change back to a proper plate but I've passed dozens of cops, undercover cars etc and none of them have stopped me to say anything. Maybe if my plates looked visibly smaller then I might get some trouble but for now, nothing!

With regards to the Brembo upgrade, I have to be honest with you and say it is for no other reason than aesthetics. The standard brakes are too small to match the look of the car, I'd consider an upgrade to the 12/13 E550 brakes but for the cost from MB even with a little discount it still makes more sense to go for Brembos, could go for some alternate branded brakes which lack in build quality of materials and longevity but do the same job well - know of a few drifters who use them (and I mean USE them
) and have done so for over 12 months with no issues but I'm reluctant to put cheap parts on it.
But no, I don't have too many spirited drives at all and haven't found the standard brakes to fade or not work well enough for me, just purely aesthetics, stupid right?!![smash](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smashfreak.gif)

Do U know any other brakes options for the 207? A think We have some options:
-Pack AMG - which we have
-Pack AMG Sport Plus - which is from CCoupe, the front discs are bigger, but I cant find a VIN
-500/550 4Matic - wich features in CLS and E-classe, but I don't know if are addaptable because of the 4Matic feature
-Brembos
-63AMG

There are a few options yeah, as you've listed there. The Sport Plus upgrade would be a waste of time to me because the disc is not that much bigger. The 12/13 E550 brakes (like in the picture) is a good upgrade to do but expensive from Mercedes, almost as much as what Brembos go for. Same with the 63AMG ones, look great but a lot of money unless you can source a set. I'm keeping an eye out on German ebay, a friend of mine got some Brabus Alcon brakes from there for a very good price and had the mounts customised to fit his car.
If you want to do the sport plus upgrade I can try and find the part number for you from the EPC listing for a sport plus?

Took the side chrome mouldings off yesterday so nice and smooth.

Also looking at air bag suspension now, stupidly looking around on the interweb and found some interesting applications that would work.... This could become expensive! But low!!

Looks great, but one advice for the owners of black car,do not remove them cause a friend of mine did that i think it is not a good choice. On a white car i think it looks great.

thanks calbear
I think it looks better but having issues with rubbing/clipping on the front - think it is the tire on the suspension so will investigate what spacers might be able to help out with that.
Couple of pics - had rear sideskirts fitted and also had the front splitter resprayed as a better color match to the car.
Then cleaned the car...took pics on an iphone 5 and they're pretty underwhelming but then I'm being picky since I take a lot of shots with a Canon DSLR so these shots whilst not great they're acceptable

Will be doing a photo shoot soon so will have some pretty decent shots soon

Not much of an update but had to get some more stickers on from free stuff - Speedhunters bits and attending a pistonheads show in a few weeks, plus did a full detail on the car as well so it was nice and shiny for an end of show season party last week

Quick update - back on winter wheels and a bit low on the 18s...
![](http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e164/D12NABwp/winterconfig.jpg)

Very difficult to get around with speed bumps or camber changes in the roads but worth it

I really do not like it.When you will see my new 19's for the winter set up you will agree with me.It seems that i cannot convince you to run with 20's in the summer and 19's in the winter.

I really want 20s for the summer but on the back I don't think I have enough room to fit them with the H&R springs on - what size rim, tires and offsets are your 20s at the back Gavro? With how mine is on summer 19s there is no gap to the tire/fenders I mean not anything can't even fit a finger in between the top of the tire and the fender - this is ET37, 9.5" wide rim 265/30 tire.
May be the cabrio sits lower at the back than the coupe? I don't know

Congrats for your ride mate! simply the most beautiful 207 ive seen by far.
A truly inspiration for mine.
Can you please confirm me if the "straight" DRLs costed you about 325gpb? Because i just went today to a nearby mb retailer, and the part numbers you provided are just for the Chrome Trim + Grill. According to them, the correct part numbers would be:
DRL:
A 204 906 89 00 Left... €154.64
A 204 906 90 00 Right...€154.64
290 Ornamental Molding (chrome surround):
A 207 885 04 74 Left.........38,10€
A 207 885 05 74 Right.......39,64€
Grills:
A 207 885 07 53 Left........32,77€
A 207 885 08 53 Right......32,77€
Sorry for any word misspelled as im a Portuguese buddy![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)

Thanks guys, Koji looking forward to seeing your updates
MNilson no problem at all, sorry it's taken me a while to get back to you been pretty busy recently, those must be the correct numbers if your dealer have told you them. I got the part numbers from the EPC database afterwards but they displayed the pictures and notes to say what the parts were - when I did the upgrade I told my dealership to sort it out and let me know when they wanted the car to fit them, can't remember exactly what I paid but had other work carried out as well.
Mirrors, get in touch with EFAN https://mbworld.org/forums/members/136860-efan.html he will sort these out for you.
Only other thing I have to add today is a quick exhaust soundclip - nothing special but remember it is a diesel just tuned up a bit...

If dealers tell you they can't fit they are lying it is that simple, mine did it without any hesitation, took them 30 minutes to fit

But to each his own as they say, you can always put them back on if you don't like the look ^^

Nothing major to report except I managed to give the car a good mini detail - paint decontamination and a fresh coating of CG EZ creme/blacklight/V7 hybrid and coat of Collinite 476S wax which had plenty of curing time so looks slick now even after a few days driving on the dirty roads.
Also fitted new vents on the front bumper, got some more stuff to do in the next few days just getting round to doing them but will post more as and when.

yup so I'm awaiting the flaming
I'm under no illusion that they're purely cosmetic so I'm not bothered plus they can come off whenever I want just experimenting at the minute ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
On a side note I'm sure I saw your car featured by HRE recently? If it was, it looks absolutely amazing!
