E550 Coupe Dead?
I must be out of touch, because I went to MB's website to build an E550 Coupe, and it doesn't exist. You can only build an E350. The E550 Coupe is not listed anywhere in the website. Did I miss an announcement? Has MB discontinued the E550 Coupe???

Now I am more confused. Look at several trheads below about having puchased the E550 coupe. In fact, I thought the website let me build a 550 just after the E coupe was introduced. What am I missing?

MB is having problems getting parts which is delaying production (I think due to supply from Japan) so the 550 production is starting later than the 350s. With 350s far outselling 550s in the US market it makes sense that they're prioritizing to get the 350s out first. The delay is only for the 2012 model year. The E550 conv/coupe has been around for a while of course.

2011 E550 Coupe. Premium Pk2,Appearance Pk,Wood Trim, rear spoiler
I ordered 2012 E550 coupe in April. The salesman showed me a paper about 2012 models and expected changes. The car had "no change" written next to it. Anyway, I was told the car should be ready in July, but when I called a month later to check on my order, the salesman told me there was a delay and production wouldn't start until september 2011. I couldn't wait that long, so I bought 2011 model and now it seems like the engine is going to be the new twin turbo. It sucks but my previous car was a twin turbo and I had engine troubles with it--BMW 335i.
Anyway, I'm very happy with my car, and I didn't really want anything turbo because of the problems I had with my bimmer.
