Changing 2011 E350 Cab to straight LED DRL's

I would like to change out my 2011 E350 Cabriolet round DRL's to the 2012 straight LED DRL's. The grill dimensions are exactly the same size and I think they should fit fine. From what I've read, they might not hook up directly because of computer errors, but could be wired to the ignition directly.

My problem is I called my two local dealers and they say there is no LED upgrade available for the 2011 and refuse to sell me the parts. So, where do I go to purchase these and what are my chances of this working???

Have to wait I think?

My dealer tell me that I need to buy the whole front bumper, IE MB want to sell the whole thing.

The stright DSLs have to come as aftermarket parts I think!

You can buy "any" MB part, you don't have to use the dealer (ie. mbpartsonline.com) all you need is the part number and money. For part numbers, you can use EPCnet - http://epc.startekinfo.com/ - they want a credit card, but the 1st year is free.

Thanks for the information, but mbpartsonline.com won't open.

Of the online sources for OEM Mercedes parts, all the ones I've found list only 2011 and older parts. Anyone know the best one to try for 2012 parts?

That's why you need the EPC - it'll create build list for what you'll need, once you have the part numbers, you can order from anyone...

Just an FYI - I just looked on my account and the other poster is correct, or his dealer was. If you want to stay OEM, you'll have to replace the entire bumper cap as the bezels for the LEDS are not the same, mounts look different as well. All total, a rough guess on parts alone ~$1500, then the cap will have to be primed and painted, $500...

So approx. $2000 to change them out. How bad does it bother you? I'd look into aftermarket too or use the money for a downpayment on something you like... GL!

That's a lot of money just to get the new LEDs!

agreed. for LESS money, you could get the revozport rezonance (e63 bumper with the straight LED) bumper, which looks great. yeah it's not oem, but looks better IMO.

Agreed too! I think their grill is hot (but expensive!)...
