Got my new E550 Coupe...this car is an animal!
After 12 long weeks, she's finally sitting in our garage. Due to how busy the dealer was tonight (end of month) we didn't get out of there until after they closed. Went to dinner and then straight home. Didn't get a real chance to try everything tonight but I did "get on it" a couple times getting on the freeway. All I can say is OH MY GAWD. This thing ROMPS. It feels as fast as my old Corvette C6 but a heck of a lot smoother and QUIETER. (I'm so over the noise thing.) The power delivery of the twin-turbo feels "linear", like a jet aircraft but then it hits HARD! Forced me back in the seat. Awesome machine! I'll be getting up early in the morning to wash and wax her. I spent an hour tonight just thumbing through the owner's manual and I only got about half way. This thing has so many features, I'm sure it's gonna take me while to figure them all out.

My car is on that boat too! I have it docking the 5th, but they haven't sent a report for 3 days (there's no info or tracking while in the mid-atlantic). It may be as soon as tomorrow, but I doubt it... The port doesn't expect them in the next 24hrs, but ya never know... I'm in central Florida, so we're about equal distance from the port. I'm guessing by next Saturday you and I will be taking delivery...

Your car sounds great i am looking at the same one maybye a different color. I have a question how do you like your premium leather is there a difference then the standerd leather is it worth the extra cost.

The premium leather is much softer than the standard leather. I like the stitching details. As for or not it's worth it, I think that's subjective, however we decided since we were spending this much money, why not get everything we wanted.

As to whether it is worth the price that is a subjective decision. In my case, since I was trading in a 2008 Z06 Corvette to get a car with more creature comforts, it was an obvious choice.
I'm currently suffering from moderate acceleration withdrawal but I'll get over it. After a Z06, most all cars seem a bit pokey.
