11 E550 coupe spacers

Hey guys I was wondering if a 5mm spacer for the front and a 10mm for the rear would work to bring out my tires flush with the fender on a stock set up with the AMG sport wheels.

My setup came out flush, and I have 255 ET 40 front, 285 ET45 rear. Your car has ET 45/49 respectively. Do a little addition......subtraction.....stock.....hmmmmmm... ..

All said and done, you would need 15mm front and 20mm rear to have the same outside fitment.

I wouldn't recommend it, though. It will have an effect on responsiveness and turning radius.

I meant to mention:
There are several others on this forum running 245 ET 35 and 275 ET 35 (F/R) setups. To match their stance, you would need 15mm front and 25mm rear spacers. FYI.

Moving your vertical center axis that far out is going to be noticeable from a handling perspective. Responsiveness will suffer, although traction *may* improve. Turning radius will widen.

My stock setup is actually running a 235/40 up front and a 255/35 in the rear. So would that setup still work?

I measured the space from the tire to the inside of the fender like H&R says to do and I got a 5mm space in the back and a 10mm space up front. That is how I got my numbers.

That's what I based the measurements off of. You can do 5mm/10mm, but it won't be flush.

I like my setup which is almost perfectly flush. But that would require 15mm/20mm spacers with the stock wheels and tires. If you like the wider rear stance of some of the others, you would need even more.

If you end up putting spacers in, make sure you get some extended bolts. The stock are M14x1.5 27mm, so just add spacer width to the 27mm to get the right bolt length.

Do you have any rubbing issues or any vibrations from the spacers? I'm also going to be lowering it so I just want to be sure I won't rub.

No issues from the spacers. In fact, the spacers are preventing rubbing in the front. But remember - I went pretty extreme on the tire size. I haven't seen anyone else running 255/285 on the E coupe.

My wheels are ET 45 front and rear, but I put 5mm spacers on the front only which results in ET 40.

If you're looking to lower it and keep the factory camber, you definitely don't want to put big spacers. 5mm/10mm would probably be a good fit. If you're going to change the camber, then you could go with bigger spacers.
