Pics of my new wheels/tires
I posted these in one of the other forums, but thought I'd share here. The wheels are AMG S-Class reps, 19x8.5 ET45 front, 19x9.5 ET45 rear. Fresh Continental ExtremeContact DWS, 255/35 front, 285/35 rear, round out the package. I added 5mm spacers on the front to eliminate some rubbing between the inside corner of the tires and the lower assembly spring plate. The rubbing only occurred under very heavy loading (hard braking and cornering), but that's just how I drive.
Enjoy!

actually i cant really fault them. obviously they arent the best tyres in the world but they have been ok. emergency stops are fine same as driving in rainy weather. As long as you dont expect to be able to race too much.

***Update***
Not surprisingly, I've learned that cheap wheels and DC roads do not go together well. With just 1200 miles, I started to feel a vibration @ 60mph and when I took the car in to get them balanced, we discovered that all 4 wheels have small flat spots in them. So much for that! Time to start searching for new ones.

gotta say london roads aint much better. with big wheels and low profiles as soon a you hit the smallest of potholes it feels like an earthquake through the car.

Looks like I'm going to bite the bullet and go custom. It's a lot more expensive, but I can get an extremely strong wheel with the exact offsets I need. Here are the three designs I'm looking at. I'd love some input from the group.

I like 5 spokes (and some others), but in my case the wife hates 5 spokes. The E coupe is her daily driver so you can see where this is going.

Decision made: I'm going with these:
![](https://mbworld.org/forums/attachments/e-class-coupe-c207-cabrio-a207/245599d1350563738-pics-my-new-wheels-tires-wheel1.jpg)
Order placed today, and they are telling me it will take about 3 weeks to complete construction. I'm just really excited to have the right fit in a good wheel. I was getting so frustrated trying to find the right sizes in the right offset, and these are (IMO) the best looking ones I've found anywhere.

ARRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!! Wheels canceled!!!!!
I mentioned the wheels to a friend of mine who pointed to several issues with the company and their wheels. This is getting ridiculous.

Are you staying with 8.5 & 9.5 widths?
Would going to 9 & 10 widths affect fitment with your 255 & 285 tires?
Good luck with the wheel search!
