I believe it's an issue with the e500/e550.

well..i could not remember this is due to ECU tune or the coilover lol .. I did those mod about the same time ..

Here's a little update of my car - Black Flat Hood Badge and Black Series Bonnet

Some snaps shot of the hood from the seller in China. This bonnet is made of FRP and the look is exactly the same as the C63 BS or the one you see in Prior Design website. The bonnet is currently in transit and will arrive by end of this week. Will post some pictures after it's painted and installed on the car. Very excited to see the actual bonnet !

WOW!!! I love the look of the hood on your car, very nice mod. The new flat badge is icing on the cake, works perfectly on the car ... I might have to try sourcing one out for my car it looks so much better than the OEM.

I'll post more picture of the hood when there is sunshine as it has been raining.. For the fender, Im going to ask the manufacturer to make exactly like the same design on the E63 sedan. No idea for the side skirt right now..may look into prior design one.

Bonnet made with full FPR is around USD$1350. half FPR and half Carbon Fiber is ard USD$1800. The price is high but this bonnet is very rare and one of a kind. Quality is not the best but worth the money. I can hook you up if your really interested. I'm going to get the fender from a manufacturer in China and will update the status later.
