Curb rash repair before and after

I recently hit a curb and got some bad curb rash on my AMG wheels. After a little research, I was able to have it repaired for only $120, and you would never be able to tell it happened.

I had the same issue, but had elected for the appearance protection package from the dealer so it was covered. No regrets - I've had to use it twice now because my wife just seems to love the curbs! Since I've only had the car 6 months, I'm sure I'll have the opportunity to do it a few more times before it runs out.

Curb Feelers? I wonder if they still make them. At one time they were very popular for city dwellers who had to parallel park a lot. In those days most cars had white wall tires and running into a curb did a real job on the whitewall.

How much is the protection package? And can it be purchased at any time because my car is now one year old.

I think I paid $600 or $700 for 5 years of coverage. You'll need to talk to the dealer, but I would guess that buying it now would be based on an inspection of the car's condition.

Umm, yeah..... I don't think those would look very good on an E-coupe. Besides, my wife didn't do the damage while parking......
