E550 Buying Advice!

Hello all. Long time lurker, first time poster. I think I'm about to take the plunge on a beautiful e550 coupe. A local dealership has a 2010 for sale. I've attached a link so you guys could check it out. I want to double check that the car has the P2 package for the bi-xenon headlights (it has push start so I assume so). Any buying advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Looking forward to learning and contributing.

If you can afford it, I strongly advise you to spring for one with the biturbo engine in it. It's a hell of an upgrade.

@ScottNJ- yea man it was pretty loaded. Could you verify that it had bi-xenons by the pictures? I'll call tomorrow to make sure but I'm scheduled to pick it up this Friday.

@np8888-I wish but 40K was my limit man

I got him down to $39,995. Do you guys think this is a fair price for the car?

Residual on my 2012 E550 coupe after 2 years is down as $42K from MB. 39.95 is probably a fair price. I'd probably offer $39 though and tell him to take it or leave it.

Yes, it has the P2 Pkg so you'll get: bi-xenons, LED front turn signals, Daytime running LED hockey stick lights, heated/cooled seats, push to start, and headlamp washers. Plus I can see it has AMG pkg and wood trim pkg.

I think I'll take your advice. I'm putting 6k down but I'm upside down on my trade so there are a couple things to factor in.

Also, what do you guys reccommend as far as warranties?

And anything around $39K seems like a fair deal considering the mileage and options.

Thanks for all the info. You've been a great help!

@Bravo2013-it is! They had an a5, BMW 650i, and a CL550 but the E was the best looking out of the bunch to me...the Aston Martin Vantage was another story though

Factory is 4yrs/50k so it's still covered. MB warranty will let you renew anytime up until expiration date (and sometimes shortly thereafter.) Expensive, but worth the peace of mind and not having to hassle w/3rd party companies.

Was it a CPO? Can't beat that rate for pre-owned. Purchased mine in October (non-cpo, only 9k miles) and that financing offer was not available. I still got a great deal but timing is everything.

Congrats on your purchase man! Sounds like you got a great deal. I ended up getting an interest rate of 3.8%. I'm kind of young at 23 so I don't know if that had anything to do with it. I'm going to shoot for 39k flat thanks to your post.

@MrH-that's great news. I didn't want to have to go 3rd party and I will definitely be renewing that warranty
