Swapping pre-2014 to post-2014 taillights
I can do without any of the other changes but I'm really liking how the taillights are looking on the redesign. I'm sure we'll be able to flesh this out once they are out but anyone got a preliminary heads up as to whether we are going to be fortunate enough to do a simple swap of the taillights old-for-new without anything further?

I can't find pictures of both models at the exact same angle to say for sure, but from what I gather so far they appear to be the same shape. Unless MB decided to switch up the harness plugs or bulb wattages etc, it may be an easy swap.

They look as if they're the same size and being LED I imagine they're a pretty routine swap over.
I've asked my dealer to look in to it for me but they've said until they get hold of a physical 2014 model they can't tell me for certain.

tailights
The new taillights fit, but there is a gap between them and the rear bumper.
Solutions :
-get a new bumper from tuning company, example: Prior Design,etc....
-have a body shop work your current bumper... Job needs to be well done !

Maybe I misunderstand, but I don't think any company makes bumpers for the 2014 redesign. So I think you either buy a 2014 rear bumper, or as you said, have a body shop do some custom work.
