i use it as it fairly easy to remove. i change my mind like i change underwear. iv had 3 or 4 different spoilers now.
the best thing to do if you want to use tape is stick it to the spoiler then peel off backing. but before you fix the spoiler to the car heat up the tape with a hair dryer and you'll see the tape go sorta moist looking the fix the spoiler to the car. heating up the tape aids the adhesion.
Then pull a small bit of the tape covering back to expose the "glue" and bend the red covering to a 90 degree angle sticking out from the spoiler.. Then place the spoiler on the back of the car and align as needed with only the small bit on the end actually being stuck to the car. Make sure to keep the bend of the red covering on the tape sticking out so that you can eventually pull it out from underneath the spoiler. Make any adjustments to the spoiler position and tape the spoiler down with duct tape to hold it in place once your happy with the positioning. Once you're happy with it, THEN start to pull the red tape covering out from underneath the spoiler making sure to hold the spoiler in place as you do this. It makes the alignment and installation pretty easy since you don't actually uncover the red tape until the very last step.
