weekend job for DIY folks , 3-4 H all with basic complicity
Changed Cabin filter
2 engine filters
and did oil change
Mobile 5W-40 ESP Formula M 229.5 was hard to find
Fortunately my local NAPA shop has it for sale 6.99 1Q
You will need 8Q to replace it ( manual said 8.5Q ) , it comes to the MAX level on my dipstick

Cars seem to be getting less DIY friendly these days ( just look around on this forum ) but
i am a strong believer that no one can handle your car better than you .
Do it and you will enjoy your coupe even more ;

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Edit: I was asking someone else about this the other day and here's what he told me
WIS is Workshop Information System, and it also came with EPC (Electronic Parts Catalog). There's a web site (mbwis.com) where you can buy it from Mercedes. These are our shop manuals. I believe the 2012 WIS and EPC are $70 each from Mercedes, and that's why I chose a hacked apart version from eBay for a fraction of the cost. By hacked apart, I mean hand burned DVD's and instructions on how to piece it together so it runs as a Windows XP VM. It's massive, so I bought a 64GB flash drive so it can be used where any decent strength Windows laptop is available. It works fine on my 8.1 notebook.
Note--I'm sure someone will correct my mistake, but I believe WIS and EPC are massive because they cover all Mercedes/SMART vehicles from mid 80's to in this case 2012.
I need to spend more time with it, because something as simple as finding the right procedure to replace brake pads all around for a W212 seemed more effort than pulling the wheel off and figuring it out. Plug in your VIN and it filters content, which helps.

Usually i use 2 rear sets for 1 front set
When i got this car ( 23k miles ) i replaced rear tires , my expectation that front will last ~40k miles so in ~20k miles
i will just replace all 4 corners

my rear rotors look similar to this , my rear brakes are soon to be replaced , can i just replace the brakes (wihout brakes vibrating after) or is it better to replace the whole rotor and pad kit? thanks.
