Hardwire 9500ix - where is switched power in the dome above mirror?
I have the "invisicord" and want to tap into switched power in the top mbrace\mirror\light structure and am wondering if anyone has already done this and can point to which cables to tap?
Thanks!
Thanks!

the beauty of this when your car is going to sleep your radar is going to sleep too

this why we all here dude
to be honest i didn't find much help when i did my , looks like to open overhead light is a big task for many of us
I found the best way is to use 2 mounts from PerformancePackage team
What i did is i merged inner parts from 2 of them ( see these 2 big left right plastic handles ? )
This gives me the right length / flexibility to build one mount connected to the top of our MB mirror
You cant use just one mount as it will be too short ...

on BMW i used only RED one and black is connected to the car body ( roof )
unfortunately this was not the case for MB as i was not able to find (-) on a roof ( maybe it is aluminium ?? dunno )
so i found 2 BIG red(+) /black(-) main wires , you will see them , they are easy to find
i can help you if you post the open overhead light so i can mark which cables i used
I also have voltage up on my 9500Xi and i see from alternator it keeps around 13.2V
when car is running

no tap connector , just welded it
dont forget car should not be in sleep mode when checking for voltage ( push the start button minimum one time )

Yes I completed it. I made my own "invisicord" using a black telephone cable. Then tapped into the lower red and brown cable on the first big blue connector (that is switched and goes off when car is locked). Tried using a T tap but they suck so did a direct splice and connect.

I was lazy, bought an Add a Fuse, which allows you to take an existing fuse (accessory) and put an additional fuse in the line. I just hid the wires from the Passport from the windshield mount above the dash, under the dash, under the moldings into the fuse panel. cost me like 6.00
