2010 E350 Coupe new owner
Hi guys
Just want to say hello to everyone
I am a BMW guy and recently bought 2010 BMW 550i M SPort
Didnt like it too much and sold after 6 month
Never was a fun of MB but go figure - just bought Diamond White E350 2010 E350 Coupe !
This think is beautiful one car owner with 23k miles , AMG 18" wheels and as they call it premium package 2 ??

BMW 2003 530i SPort 120k miles
BMW 2010 550i M SPort 33k miles - SOLD
New toy ( pending delivery )

Dont know is it under power ?
Came to dealer to test C350 and bought this one , just like how sporty and smooth it rides + it has only 23k miles
Asked dealer to replace rear tires , do balancing , alignment , full interior clean up and some small touch up
1 year BTB warranty + 1 year CPO + 2 additional CPO i added for $2300 so peace of mind up to May 2017
I still have 7 dates / 500 miles exchange policy just in case , didnt get car yet , something around EOW
Do you think i should get E550 ? I sold 550i M Sport was to jerky for me ( not all is about power only ) but i have no idea how MB 550 rides

My wife and I have both a 350 and 550 and frankly the 350 just cannot compare to 550. Also, I think the ride quality of 550 is excellent, not too harsh.

550 will cost me $5-10k more + taxes + insurance / maintenance
i think as of now i will keep this car , it has all options available ( P2 + AMG package ) + should be a good gas mileage
+ love the 18" AMG wheels , no single scratch on them , very rare
question ,- how i can update 2010 maps to 2013.2 ?
In BMW you use USB drive and FCS code, how it works in MB ?
No USB drive at all ? DVD disks only ? no any codes ?

Unfortunately...you have to purchase the DVD update. It is loaded via the CD changer. The install can take up to 150 min. and they recommend that the vehicle remain stationary during the installation. It is not cheap...!! By the way, Congratulations on your purchase I also own a 2010 E350 coupe...same interior...mine is black. When you get it try the S mode it's a lot more fun.

My only concern is ,- it is the first year of this coupe in US ( i see in Europe it is from 2009 )
I usually ( well based on BMW experience ) try to get the last year of any new generation
Is there any known problems/bugs with 2010 Vs 2011 or 2012 ?
Also where it is assembled ? I hope Germany ?

Yes it is made in Germany. I haven't had any problems with mine with 27,588 miles on the Odometer. I have not read about any unusual first year problems. There is a complete list of Technical Service bulletins on the W212 Forum which also lists the C207.

ya pretty similar to loaded BMW , the only thing i will miss is a Head Up display
and what is Shift knob ? if it shifts transmission on the steering wheel like a sedan i dont want it

The shift knob located on the center console. It has the same wood look as the interior wood trim with a round MB logo on the top. All the coupe shifters from 2010 to 2013 are on the console. I believe that I read that the 2014 coupe will be mounted on the steering column. To me that is a big mistake I like the console location. It is more in line with the sportiness of the coupe.

drove 150 miles yesterday to bring it home
impressed on corners , impressed with interior and exterior , super impressed with seats 100 times better than on BMW , impressed with suspension , - much better than 335i i tested recently
was not impressed with steering wheel and power
The light steering wheels is a bit weak point ( my wife likes it but not me ) and it looks like need to be driven in city a with a Sport button ON only
overall very happy
question ,- why these Pirelli tires are so noisy ?
I always use Michelin and Conti on my cars but never Pirelli ... i asked dealer to install a new rear OEM tires ( Pirelli )
Now can i install front new Michelin and have on rear new OEM Pirelli ?

this car is built for driver , not like E350 sedan, as more i drive it as more i like it

This tells me that with full tank of gas you can go up to 500 miles , nice ... this is really cool for 3.5L engine
I recently drove 1000 miles on a new rented Infinity 3.5L and tank was empty after 380 miles only ...
One of the issues i want dealer to fix ( if not i will fix myself ) - the rear deck noise
Anybody here who fixed this issue ?

i am almost positive that the noise is coming from the rear deck and not from the roof
ask you wife to drive and check it out from the rear seat

Have you checked the license plate? My dealer did not tighten the license plate screws enough and the assembly was rattling. It was very easy to hear when just closing the trunk.

got first set of spacers 10 MM
tried front rear one side only to see which set to get next
decided to go 10MM rear / 10MM front even 5 MM front maybe better
Of course some nice drop can be better but i am not ready to do it on a 20k miles car
what do y think ? Should i get front 5 MM or 10 MM ?
