Hi Folks, what is the best/easiest way to blacken this chrome front lip? Vinyl? Plasti Dip?

That is one of the best parts of the car... it looks great chrome (in case you want any opinions) Otherwise you can have it wrapped.

Thanks dude..I prefer it black.. But I know there are many that likes it chrome..

get it painted gloss black, plasti dip is quick/cheap/easy but flat black and doesn't really look good.

I intend to spray a glossifier to the plasti dip.. My first choice is glossy vinyl.. Just afraid that the shape is too complex to wrap.. I dun want to spray befos it's not reversible and down time is very long.. Anyway I appreciate your suggestion. Thanks dude

Hey, that's my car . I took my car to wrap the whole front end with xpel ultimate. Chatted with the owner who loves the murder/black out looks. But he said he wouldn't do it to this car, "the chrome lip/silver grill/chrome exhaust tips/lip goes real well together". I guess he's right, it really does flow when you look at the overall car. But, everyone has their bias.

Are u just planning on blacking out the lip? What about the silver/chrome on the grill? Would love to see pics if you do get it done.

Hi E550clubz,apologies for using your pics as I find this as the best shot of the front lip..I plan to black out the front lip as well as the chrome portion on the rear bumper..and the chrome window trims as well.. As for the grill, I plan to black out the surround only.. The centre portion will remain silver..still want to be able to see the star logo.. I am getting my car this wed.. Will post pics once the job is done.. My car is diamond white too..

No worries about the pics, would love to see the differences between diamond white w/chrome vs black trims, I might just have to copy your idea

Glad someone is changing the colour of this thing....it's one of the most hideous part of the new E-Class coupe IMO.

Finally got the front lip blackened..here is how it looks..I also blacken the grill surrond..
