E550 coupe. Problem with 20 inch wheels
Hi guys , I'm new at the forum , I just bought 2010 e550 coupe. Car is still at the shop. Decided tu upgrade original 18' to 20'.
I get these wheels from eBay ..
http://www.ebay.com/itm/20-AUDI-A4-A5-A6-A7-S4-S6-M-Benz-S500-E350-E430-E500-E550-WHEELS-TIRES-PACKAGE-/291186896598?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Wheel_Packages&hash=item43cc176ed6
Front is 245/35/20
Rear is 275/30/20
Problem is they r sticking out of the frame and I'm worrying they will be rubbing... Car is not ready to driving it yet. What do guys think ??

2012 E550 Coupe
You will likely rub going over bumps and especially with people in the back when you go over bumps.
Are you lowered?
I received the wrong offsets +45 in the rear with 19x10 and rubbed really bad when I was lowered on Eibach. I had to remove the lowering springs and all was ok. So if you are not lowered you might be ok, but that looks really aggressive...
Can you try it and let us know, and also let the seller know if the car is drivable or not. We can only guess.

Yeah those offsets are not going to work out too well man. Mine are supposed to be good for mine, but I still rub on larger dips.

We do plenty of the E class Sedans and Coupes
The tire sizing is all wrong though
Here is what we normally do
Front: 20x8.5 or 20x9
Rear: 20x10
245/30/20
275/30/20
This fitment works on the car no problems and we lower them as well and no rubbing
The offsets I am seeing are wrong, that's were your getting the front poking
You need to run a higher offset up front

2010 E550 Coupe
I'm running 20 x 8.5 front (235/35/20 et 35) and 20 x 10 rear (275/30/20 et 50) with no rubbing and pretty flush fitment. Went a little above stock diameter on tire sizes to eat up the wheel gap without lowering. Car rides smooth and no issues.

I am a super novice when it comes to fitment and tires, but will 255's fit on a 10" wide wheel? I mean math-wise it's about the same, but wouldn't it be stretching the tire a lot?

The issue is the offsets for the wheels are aggressive for the E550 Coupe.
Did the seller inform you the fitment would be aggressive?
The tire size will not do alot for you as the offset of the wheel is low so it will still poke.
The stretch only allows for the curvature of the tire which provides additional clearance nothing more nothing less.
Do me a favor please pm me so I may see how I can guide you through this and provide a viable solution for you and the seller.

Can you post picture of your setup. I'm thinking of 20" wheel but want to keep stock spring. Most people say it doesn't look right with 20" wheel without lowering.
