just to confirm.. if you have MB existing warranty.. you can by directly by MB.

If you are past the 50k or 4 years.. this would be a good discussion.

I used EasyCare for one of my AMG's.. no issues. But they are sold directly by deales and hard to know if you are getting a good deal.

Thanks for reply, and I was able to get the extended warranty from Mercedes for 7 years and 100k miles.

I got CNA for my CLK. About $2900 for a 6 year/100000 mile policy. Never used it but my local MB dealer service advisor told me that they are reputable. If I get this CPO E350 I will look into a MB ESP. Does anyone know if a dealer is discounting them on-line?

Hello, this is Brandon with Autopom. We cover the E350, as well as many other Mercedes models. We offer a $300 discount to MBWorld forum members, and have payment plans available with no interest or additional fees to make the plans more affordable as well. To run a quote I just need the vehicle's year/make/model/mileage and your state of residency. It would also be helpful to know how long you plan to keep the vehicle and an estimate of how many miles you drive a year, so that I customize the quote to specifically fit your needs. If you have any questions or would like more information please feel free to message me, check out our website at http://www.extended-vehicle-warranty.com/ or contact me directly at (800) 724-8141 x15

you mean 7 years total ( additional 3 years ) ? not 4 + 7 = 11 years right ?
Just make it clear

MB USA

I inquired about the extension from MB USA

They have two options once your original factory warranty runs out

A: 3yrs or 75k miles ($3000)

B: 3yrs or 100k miles ($4000)

They can do a monthly no interest charge. They can pro rate it if you sell your car, and you can cancel at any time.

I also inquired from Pen Fed who said they offer warranty extension. But I am not sure how after market warranties compare.

Do you guys feel it is necessary to buy the warranty extension?

Thank You

In a word, no. A lot of people think that warranties on expensive cars are bound to pay for themselves, but it simply is not true. Not even close to true. Warranties are huge profit centers for those that sell them, whether it's a car or electronics or anything else. If they usually paid for themselves, nobody would sell them. They know the odds are not high that you will need more than $3,000 in covered repair in the next three years. I never buy warranties on anything ever. I could replace my whole car and still be ahead. My car is now more than two and a half years out of factory warranty and the covered repairs in that time if I had a warranty equal exactly $0. I'm glad the $3,000 is still on my pocket. And the $3,000 from my wife's car, and all the cars before that, and all my TVs and computers.........

On the other hand.... I bought a 7 year extended warranty for my 2007 CLK 550 and used it so much that I almost expected the company to go under!
Constant oil seal leaks. THREE sets of engine and transmission mounts. A silly $5 timing magnet that cost $400 to install. New inside rear view mirror for over $1,100. Fuel filler door latching mechanism. One Bose stereo speaker. Two seat belts with retractors. Every strut bushing in the car - Twice. My final service visit, just before the extended warranty ran out, cost them a little over $2,000 in misc. nonsense! Makes me wonder why I am ordering a brand new E550 cabriolet! With my luck, I'll probably get another extended warranty...

Hate to say it, but ZERO problems with my 2013 Cadillac CTS-V
