Akebono brake pads
Has anyone installed the Akebono Euro Ultra Premium ceramic brake pads on their E350. I'm tired of the brake dust even after a short drive, I'm willing to sacrifice a little braking efficiency for clean rims. Having said that, I noticed that when MB recently replaced the front rotors with OEM pads on my E350 and they are much better as far as the dust than the older pads in the rear, perhaps the latest OEM pads are better in regards to the dusting problem.
I've been informed that the Akebono part # for the fronts are Eur1342
and rears Eur1341, apparently the rear Coupe and Sedan are not the same, can anyone verify this please.

Had front & rear Akebono's pads installed, pleasantly surprised that the braking efficiency is improved over OE. I was expecting
slightly less, very little brake dust, hardly noticeable at all now. Had to clean the residual black, greasy dusting from the rotors and back plate otherwise original dust will remain until it eventually flings off.

Running Akebono ceramic pads on my convertible ( non MB ) with drilled and slotted rotors. Now at about 700 miles or so. Like the new brake feel and progressive bite. If this keeps up, will use Akebono all the time in future. No dust, decent stopping performance.
