Sadly, the bumperettes are there! I think it's such an oversight for MB to design bumpers on their coupes that require bumperettes. The CLA and CLS don't have bumperettes!
I think these ones, which look like a mustache to me, fit somewhere between the S-class coupe (reasonably integrated, not that noticeable) and the C-class coupe (aptly described as hemorrhoids on one thread).
Well I can say with complete certainty I will not be upgrading to the 2018 coupe/cab. Slab sided, blandly styled and the V8 option forces you to the E63. Not an ounce of sportiness. The interior is luxurious, and easy on the eyes. Just not on my wish list.

I think a lot of us are in that boat. It's not an ugly car, I just doesn't make you want to run out and upgrade as you said.

In Truth, I believe the "requirement" for these ridiculous bumps is caused by some U.S. Federal regulation/mandate, as these bumps are not found in any other market ... largely, if not completely, a result of the decision by MB to locate the rear license plate below the bumpers on the coupes as opposed to locating them on the trunks as is the case of the CLA/S models.

Much how I feel about the new S5.....wish I could just facelift the interiors into my old rides. lol Exterior design is not talking to me at all. That interior tho.......
not that it matters but the way you put the new E coupe down is like you drive a veyron or something. have you looked at the similarities between your glk and a 2005 suzuki vitara?
