Hot Air Coming from A/C Intermittently
Hi All,
I've got a bit of a weird issue here. A friend of mine has a 2016 E400 4MATIC Coupe, and hot air intermittently blows when the A/C is on. You'll be driving and the car's A/C will be on and then really hot air will just start blowing out of the driver's side vents for a few seconds — maybe 5-10. Then, a few minutes later, the passenger side may do the same, with the driver's side blowing cold. It's just completely random, but it is very annoying to have hot air randomly start blowing when the A/C is on and blowing cold (e.g. when cooling the car or keeping it cool).
Any ideas on how to fix this, or what's going on? The dealer has thus far been not very helpful.
Thanks

This is a warranty issue. You have to insist your dealer fix this problem! There is no such thing that the dealer cannot fix the problem. I would get MB involved in this.

Hasn't been resolved. Also, the rain sensing wipers randomly go on when there's not water (perfectly sunny days), and if it was raining and it stops, they start going really fast.

May be a coincidence that both rain/light & humidity temperature sensors are located @ overhead control panel nevertheless, starting point in discussion to request MB intervention https://mercedes-benz.custhelp.com/

I have a similar problem with 2011 E550 Cab. Drive a short trip (5 minutes) turn off. 45 minutes later when going again AC blows hot for some time. Eventually (after you're soaking wet) AC starts blowing cold air. Not an infrequent problem. Car no longer under warranty.
