MY E550 coupe. Who's in NYC?
On a previous thread but posted in the wrong section. I told a story of owning a 2010 e350. Totaling it. And being in the market for a new car. I decided on a 2014 E550 coupe which I traveled to jersey from queens NYC for. Got a 4 year 70,000 warranty thrown in as well. I've owned the car for a month now. And I just want to help people who want to purchase a car such as this. First off the ride is immaculate. low profile tires make some potholes feel like a piece of your soul died once u hit it but dodging them has just become part of my life lol. Eco mode vs Sport mode is a world of difference. Eco is perfect for cruising city streets with a lot of stop and go action seeing as it shuts off at a complete stop to save gas. Sport mode is basically the car being open to all possibilities. The twin turbos really add that extra kick. I worried about V8 gas prices so I was weary to try sport mode for extended amounts of time but it really hasn't affected my pockets. I would say what u would normally do in eco for a day just add a quarter tank to that and that's sport mode for you. The car being rear wheel drive , I find myself chirping in 1st thru 4th gears ... you really have to learn how to feather the gas pedal in turns and from a complete stop. The car constantly wants to go. Coasting has become a part of life lol. As far as appearance. Ive had people ask to trade , school kids have just pointed and went wowwwww. Women absolutely fall in love with the car. It becomes almost a lounge area. They kick their feet up , click the heated seats and it's like a home away from home. Comfortable space to be in. I've attended some races just to spectate and I get the finger points and general questions. I feel like I've purchased a real car. No disrespect to my e350. But I think this car chipped with exhausts and other little upgrades is really all I'm ever gonna need. I've ripped parts of my neighborhood to shreds and I've even seen more of a police presence. I don't wanna take credit but it's just what I've noticed. The car has a dual personality and that's just a trait you can't put a price on. You can move stealth with no drone or you can move fast and furious. I don't really know many cars that can balance the two very well. I think I appreciate this quality because I've seen a Subaru sti attend a funeral and it was just awkward. Just wasn't the place or time to see or hear that car so I just appreciate my e550 and all it does and it's many disguises. As you can tell I'm not the most advanced car guy but I think I'm pretty decent starting my youth thinking 350z's and g35's were the best **** out lol I think I made an educated decision and I'm on my 2nd Benz. I'm gonna be a lifer. I'm looking for like minded people to associate with and build with to expand my knowledge and possibly go to meets and just be apart of the Benz culture. I appreciate you all. Thanks for reading. Also looking for help on a black out on my car.

Nice car look great. I am considering this car as well but may be getting the 2010 with the na engine. Was wondering if you chipping and modifying the exhaust would effect the warranty you got with it?

That’s great man how do u like it? How noticeable is it? I was gonna do the OE tune on my 2010 E550 a few years ago but they were having a problem with the loader so by time it worked I lost interest. The peak HP/TQ on the OE is 500/540 for $1200 Weistec is 540/715 for $1500 so I think I rather go with the Weistec
