2018 E Class Cabriolet
The starting price of the new 2018 Mercedes Benz Cabriolet price increased to $67,295 from $66,300, or an additional $995. There is no mention of whether there are any enhancements. Does anyone know if there are any?

The 2018 E400 is all new refresh with it's exterior and interior..similar to S class. I am just starting to look into leasing one of these. I got a recent quote from a socal dealer of $71k on a $77,095 msrp car - p2,amg line,19' wheels. Curious if anyone else has recent quotes on a 2018 E400 Cab or recently picked on up?

The priced increase is for the same 2018 cabriolet. If you look at the mbusa.com site you'll see that the base price $66,300. The announcement on the price increase was announced yesterday for the same new car and I was curious if that increase included some enhancements or if it is addressing the uptick in demand or sudden currency exchange difference.
To answer your second question, I just ordered my 2018 E400 Cabriolet. I am in Los Angeles where cabriolets are in high demand. I was able to get 7.2 percent below MSRP. It seems you are pushing around 7.9 percent below MSRP. From my research the spread between invoice and MSRP is around 6 percent. It sounds like you are getting a great deal.

7% isn't bad, congrats on getting your car ordered. I had another salesman verbally throw out ~9k off in conversation but he hasn't committed to that yet. And I haven't pushed it since I am waiting for a couple things to happen on my end before I can pull the trigger. My goal is to be closer to ~10-11% off, which seems obtainable based upon that verbal offer. We shall see, when things get serious.
Are you doing MSDs?

Since you haven't picked up your car yet, you probably still have opportunity to do that. For the ~$75k car you are getting , you can probably save around ~$60-70 buck a month or so on your payment by putting the max 10 MSD down. Google MSD and you can learn abit about it. Essentially, the way I look at it is like a forced savings investment account with a phenomenal return. Putting down $8000 in MSD will save you about $3k during a 3 year lease. That's a 30% return on your investment as you get that MSD back when you return car. Dealers don't like to talk about it since they lose money on the lower finance rate.

I don't know if it is the same, but it seems to function like a capital reduction. Like a lease capital reduction, it is limited to 10 percent. Unlike a lease capital reduction, it is refundable. I wonder if you can double up and do a 10 percent capital reduction and a 10 percent MSD. To be honest, I haven't decided yet whether I will be paying cash for or financing the car with a purchase loan or lease. One of the reasons I wanted to order my car now, rather than later, is because there is the potential for a perfect storm against me that may make borrowing too expensive, especially when coupled with a potential flat market and the start of a recession. If that occurs when my car arrives, I will most likely just pay cash. If money is inexpensive, I'll most likely finance as much as possible on a purchase contract.
This is because I am a cheap [fill in the blank] and because I tend to keep my cars more than three years. I typically target keeping a car for a minimum of ten years. My current Lexus has been with me for 13 years and by the time my Mercedes arrives, I will have had it for 14 years. Most people will have gone through five cars in that time (if we round up to 15 years). If we use basic math and figure an average price of $50K for the car with a 50% residual on a three year lease, my spend over five cars would have been $125,000 (not including any taxes, fees, etc.). My savings over 15 years would be $75K, if my first car was $50K. This has allowed me to pay more for this car and not feel guilty about it.
I find this car so elegant, I think the styling will stand the test of time. I'd like to believe I'll keep this car for as long as the electronics keep up, parts are readily available, and as long as the laws allow me to drive this car on the road. With any luck, this car will be considered a classic, when you consider this is potentially the last year of the V6 with the new Sensual Purity design.

The last item will be shown as "Other Charges" transportation charge
$66,300 base price
.....$995 Transportation/destination charge

Standard practice for these publications to include destination charges when they report base price. You'd find the same thing on 3rd party sites, such as TrueCar etc.

Looking at the Coupe here in SWFL and there aren’t many of them. There are more Cabriolet’s here. Amazing car. Freaky how it parked itself perfectly.
will be trading in. 13 E350 Cab for this. This new one is miles ahead of mine in terms of technology. Trying to get a minimum of 9% off which seems to be slightly more than Trucar or Carsdirect are giving. Sticker is $70095 with P2, AMG, 19 in wheels, Polar White, Nat Elm wood (why they are charging an additional $850 for the Console in the same wood is anyone’s guess) and ventilated seats.

I could be wrong, but I believe the $850 you've cited is actually the cost of the Burmester audio system which, although technically part of the P2 package, in reality is shown as an individual line item on the Monroney. If you build the vehicle you've described using the MB configurator, you come up with $70095, including the $150 for Natural Elm Wood (which, at least on the configurator, does not change the console color).

it states Accessory Code 738 Center Console $850.
Anyway, purchased the car last night and picking it up on Thursday. Took about an 1/2 hour going back and forth mainly on getting the price I wanted for my 13 E350 Cab.

interesting ... from the Ordering Guide, which is current as of 10/17, it shows the following on page 29:
H05
Natural Grain Light Brown Elm wood trim
Option Price: $150
Includes matching Natural Grain Light
Brown elm wood center console (738)
maybe some dealer (wasserby?) might be able to chime in about this $850 charge for an item allegedly included with a $150 option?
I tried printing the page from the ordering guide, but it wouldn't take

It want't even next to the elm wood line item (H05). It was further down just above the Bermester stereo at $850.00

Forgive me as I didn't have my glasses on. You are correct. Its for the stereo system. Sorry. Its just odd that they would list the center console in Elm as a separate line item but not have a price next to it.

Can you give me an example on what you can do pricing wise on a 2018 E400 Cab p2,amg line, 19", white ext, beige/yacht blue interior. Say a $77,095 MSRP?
