2018 E400 Cabriolet driver side wind noise

Hello all, has anyone experienced any wind noise coming from possibly from the driver side mirror or the window itself. I took my car back to the dealership and they said they fixed it. But on the highway it’s clearly there. Any thoughts?
thanks.

I have a MY '18 cab. No wind noise. The car is very quiet in fact. It may be the weather stripping where the window butts up to the seal.

I have a 1 month old '18 E400 Cab as well - and have not experienced any wind noise - to the contrary, a very quiet ride
Suggest comparing the driver's side to the passenger side with the window up for any variance in how the rubbers seal up
Let us know the outcome
Steve

just wanted to give you guys an update. Took the to the dealership for the second time. First time they kept the car for 5 days, and said it was fixed. When I asked them what the problem was or how it was fixed they said technician supervisor was not here, so no answer. Took the car home and found out they applied some black caulk right at the end of driver window trim, rubber. I thought ok if it’s going to take care of the problem I can be ok with it. But not really. After 50 mph, the noise was still there. So I called and made another appointment to take the car in. When I did, some technician there said that there is nothing wrong with the Car and that’s normal. So asked to test drive another E 400 cabriolet. They immediately said ok we will take care of it.
So, it’s been 4 days . No update or phone call or anything. At this point I honestly don’t know what to do. Any suggestions?
thanks.

Doesn't sound right to me that the dealer would apply caulking to eliminate the wind noise. Not on a car of this caliber. Perhaps the entire rubber seal needs to be replaced. In days gone by there was an adjustment available for the window itself that enabled the angle to be adjusted slightly allowing a tighter fit where it met the rubber seal. I'm not sure that is an option on the new cars but its worth making an inquiry with a knowledgeable tech. If neither of these options fail to remedy the problem I would take the issue to a regional service representative. You can do this through your dealer. Just a suggestion. I think you will get better results if you request this step in a non threatening manner but in a spirit of remedying the problem and perhaps alerting MB to a build problem.
Good luck with this. Let us know how things turn out.

Hi bzjam.

I am sorry to hear that you are having the same problem. I finally got the dealership to replace the triangle trim piece right by the mirror. That took care of the problem. They did keep the car for about two weeks but at least it is taking care of.
best of luck to you.
