Do you mean the main battery, or the auxiliary stop/start battery? Main one is under the bonnet, other is in the boot (back right under the trim behind the seat as you look to the front of the car).

2 Batteries?
i cannot find any evidence of 2 batteries in the A 207 platform. The owners manual of my R 230 was very clear describing 2 batteries but the owners manual of my A 207 only describes 1 battery, located in the engine compartment.. I have done multiple searches and still no evidence of multiple batteries in this platform. Would someone please clear this up for me .

I have visibly seen the one in the boot of mine when I was adding the remote roof module to the car. So it exists, for sure on stop / start enabled cars hence why I asked which one the OP was asking about.

That may be the answer, my car does not have the start/ stop function, thank goodness! I have driven cars with is function and I find it very disconcerting !

2013 was when it was on pretty much all, which the OP has a 2013 model according to profile. No idea while people have an issue with it personally.

Concerns with start/stop
I have several issues with this function. First and foremost, the starter is doomed for premature failure, an expensive repair. Second , I have driven several MB’s with this function and I find the split second delay to restart the car very disconcerting when accelerating into rapidly moving traffic from a standstill. I realize you can disable this function but I find that an unnecessary annoyance each time you go somewhere. That being said I will hold onto my 2012 E550 Cabrio as long as possible.

I turn that ECO button off as soon as I start the car. It has become as automatic as releasing the emergency brake and putting it in gear.

Roger that...I do the same. In my Porsche all you had to do was push the eco button once and it remained off until you re-activated it. I believe BMW may be the same.

The aux battery also keeps the transmission fluid pressurized, etc
