2017 E Coupe Gauge cluster question

I've been looking at a few 2017 E Coupes and they all seem to have the gauge cluster that has the analog gauges set in "tunnels" and the center of the dash has the square-ish number pad area for telephone access. When I look at the 2017 Sedans, they have what appears to be a newer dash setup that has 2 larger analog gauges, and the number pad is replaced with a more modern looking setup with 4 round AC vents in the center.

Is this newer dash available on 2017 coupes? Maybe I just didn't look at enough cars?

no … you'll find the 'newer' dash in the '18 coupes.

I have a 2017 E400C4 Coupe and it does not look like your description. It looks like the 2015-2016 Coupes. I understand your confusion. I need a front grille for mine-- and most all the searches bring up the grille for the 2018 and they are actually described/listed as for the "2017-2018". (I still have not found the grille I need.)

The saloon replacement for the W212 (W213) came out a year earlier than the Coupe (C207) which has now been replaced by the C238 platform. Which explains why you saw it on a 2017 saloon but not a 2017 Coupe.

You are describing the interior for the W213 / C238 models which are completely different cars to their predecessors and other than the engines they don't really share parts.

Hey, the 2017 Coupe looks much better than the 2018 model. Beside, a new engine E450 is coming out soon with a straight 6 and more power. For these reasons, I would not touch a 2018 model. Suggest you buy the 2017 Coupe or wait for the E450.

Thats a subjective view, not that I disagree personally. The new cars all just look the same.

To throw more controversy I prefer the A207 pre-facelift to the facelift externally.

I believe this comment (a new engine E450 is coming out soon with a straight 6...) has been discussed many times in the past, and proven to be totally false. The new E450 will continue with a V6 … the E53 is coming out with the straight 6. Please research before continuing to spread false information. If you continue to disbelieve, I refer you to the E450 DOG which is available in this (or another) forum.

Those are harsh words. Nobody is spreading false rumors! If I were mistaken, fine, tell me I am mistaken, but saying false rumors is uncalled for. I have been a member of this forum for a long time, but lately I notice a lack of decorum in this forum.

Lets not get personal with each other (or take it that is what the other poster was trying to be). Its a topic for discussion in the C238 forum rather than here anyway now they have their own home at https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-c...brio-a238-248/

From the OP's question point of view, the answer is that the W213 (2017-) sedan's and W207 (2017) Coupe / Convertiobles are two different cars and the gauges as such are different and not swappable. The Coupe Cabriolet (W238) uplift came out a year later than the saloon, hence why the two are different.
