Cannot find aux/mmi on 2010 C207
I know this has been asked a million times, but im really struggling to find either of these ports.
My headunit has the AUX option, and i understand that i cannot play songs over bluetooth, even though my headunit has bluetooth for phone calls.
I have checked under the armrest, and it is completely empty with no ports, just a big empty space.
At the top of the glovebox there is a small rectangle cut out, probably from factory, but no ports there either.
Could these ports be elsewhere? My car is UK RHD.
If i dont have either an AUX or MMI option, what are my options for bluetooth streaming please?
Many thanks
The Aux input is via a special lead, and as you have discovered, is in the glove box. This input (via the correct lead), allows the head unit to navigate a variety of devices, such as Ipods etc. You can just plug in a USB stick in that way – it’s all about allowing the device connected to be accessed by the in-car unit – eg the “Command” system, with full functionality
The lead you need is widely available on the internet, and shouldn’t cost an arm and a leg
Personally, I find it clumsy to use, with the various angles involved inviting it to pull out of the socket. Alternatively, it can be used to charge a USB device, albeit out of sight in the glove box. At this point, I’d recommend a smoke detector in the car. The entire premise is “pants”, and it’s one of the most idiotic things on the whole car
I much prefer the use of an SD card – although, again, the dealers tend to pull these “insert adapters” from the car prior to sale, and sell them off on the QT
The “Bluetooth” is more aimed at phone connections, rather than “streaming” music, and that is quite a separate issue from the “silly plug in the glove box”. More to do with what your phone is capable of than what the car is capable of. The glove box connector is just going to see the device as a USB, (at best)
And yeah, I spent about 10 mins searching for other inputs – kinda depends on which country you bought the car in, model variations etc – to wit, we lucked out in the UK
Set your phone up to connect with the cars Bluetooth, and at that point, you can either play your music that way or you can’t. There is no one easy option ……..
Alternative could be to do as many of us have and fit the 10.25" Android screen and get modern functions from that.

I believe i have the NTG4 headunit, but happy to provide pictures. It has no SD card slot, or NAVI button.
I love the idea of the 10.25" android screen, but i cannot afford the £615 at the moment!
Do you believe that the Android setup is the cheapest and easiest solution to getting bluetooth streaming and sat nav in my car?
Thanks in advance!
Android setup isn't the cheapest way to just add bluetooth streaming and NAV (if you go with a NAV like TomTom stuck to the windscreen), but if you have what I think sounds like Audio 20 without NAV then it would possibly be for that built in look.Has the bonus you can store content on the unit itself so remove the need to stream in many cases, can add a sim card (or tether your phone) and get internet meaning you can use services like Waze for realtime navigation.
Replacing your system with an OEM NAV etc buy upgrading to MGT 4.5 or 5.x will be excess of £1k I would have thought.
I do like the Android option, but not sure if the screen looks out of place in the car due to its size. What are your personal thoughts?
From the reviews ive seen, it definitely seems like a brilliant option! I have found a seller from Germany on ebay who will ship the kit for £615. Do you know of a cheaper place?
Sorry for all the questions! I have searched all over the internet, and done as much research as I can, but cant find a cheaper place.
I also looked into the NTG 4.5 upgrade, and It seems very expensive for the limited benefits compared to the Android setup!

In the UK, the SD card is a different size to the one in that vid, but you get the idea - you'll need one of these - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/183367399933
The SD card is then accessed through the Command unit

ComandOnline say that there is no option for bluetooth streaming, and that I can get the iPod lead installed, but at nearly £400. It sounds like it is probably worth paying the extra for the Android 10.25" setup.
Something to think about in the near future definitely!
Thanks everyone for all the help on this matter, its great to be part of such a helpful community
Tyr putting your VIN number in https://carinfo.kiev.ua/cars/vin/mercedes/vin_check? and it should return all the details about your car including the Audio version.
I'm afraid that i do have the Audio 20 headunit, which is a shame. I'll stick with an AUX to Bluetooth adapter for now until funds allow me to look into the Android option.
