My A207 rear grilles are silver and have some discolourization near the rear of the speakers. I would like to know how to remove them too.

Other wise I am going to tape everything and try to paint them silver. Dont want the paint to hurt the speakers though.

Thanks

Milburn

Tape surrounding surfaces and carefully pry up/loose using plastic wedge, note even speakers are replaced (no screws) from top.

Does anyone have a picture of the rear grilles removed? The front edge of the grille is exposed and I tried to lift it off and it wasn't budging. Has anyone actually removed them? Thanks.

Never mind. If you lift gently on the front edge, then slide forward and they come right off.

lift at the rear of the grilles slightly then slide them forward, the tabs point back IIRC

Does anyone know how to remove the rear parcel shelf cover/speaker grille from a 2016 C207? I'm trying to locate a rattle back there.

Thank you for this, konigstiger. I have tried prying it with a plastic tool before and it feels like I'm going to break some plastic fastener. I can't tell from the picture; is there anything that will crack?

Clip or two if not carefully released.

Yep, that's what I thought! How do you "release" the clips?

If you are unable to press towards center for release remove shelf to release from bottom, see attachments.
