Root Cause: COMAND NTG 4.5 Freeze and Reboot after 3 minutes
PROBLEM: The COMAND NTG 4.5 system recently started freezing and then rebooting every 3 minutes.
This occurred when listening to the radio and the SDcard. I tried the following to resolve the problem:
RESOLUTION: According to the MB Service Advisor, Mercedes pushed an over-the-air (OTA) SW update for the SiriusXM feature of COMAND NTG 4.5 that caused this problem on MAR 10,2020. MB "fixed" the problem by pushing another OTA SW "fix" for COMAND NTG 4.5 on MAR 12, 2020.
Did anyone else experience this problem with their COMAND NTG 4.5?
This occurred when listening to the radio and the SDcard. I tried the following to resolve the problem:
- Turned off the BlueTooth option
- Did a COMAND reset to factory specification via the System page.

Your car may have a COMAND NTG 4.7 system. Possibly this problem occurred with COMAND NTG 4.0 and 4.5 systems
