Question drivers seat wear

Hi
My car is a 2012 E-350 cabriolet the drivers seat is showing wear especially on the left edge as I enter the car the other area of wear is the center backrest It was detailed last year and the seat was cleaned with something that made the leather show streaks of wear I am wondering what my options are for correcting this problem otherwise car shows in excellent condition

The car is close to 10 years old. You’re surprised that it is showing wear? There is not a whole lot that you can do. Leather shows wear. No amount of conditioner is going to fix that.

it is common for the bolster to show a little wear. Leather is a great medium but there is not much you can about wear short of recovering the seat and if you do 1 you do them all!

I had a similar problem on a BMW with off-white seats. The dealer had a guy come in and repair the abrasion and apply a color-matched leather "paint". It was virtually undetectable and held up very well.

Leather wear

I'll second that. I have an acquaintance who does this for dealers all day. The cracked appearance is just the paint. He sands off the paint on the leather and reapplies. Same for headrests. You ever notice the leather on a used car from a decent dealer always looks great?

Common on a 10 year old car. Coupe especially as they are hard to get in and out and people tend to slide. Best thing you can do is go to a good upholstery shop. They will take care of it.

A lot of that is from abrasive effect of your pants sliding in/out of the seat.

Not as much of a problem for nudists.

Just sayin'
