MyGenius OBD2 flash loader allows you to:

- Switch between different tuned maps and your ORIGINAL stock tune at your convenience.

- Remove the loaded tune and return to the factory stock map before dealer servicing without removing the ECU.


MyGenius OBD2 flash loaders are in stock and overnight shipping is available for next day delivery.
If you have previously purchased a Bench Flash/ECU send-in type tune from us in the past or had an OBD2 local install, purchase of an OBD2 flash loader at a later date is no problem.

Just installed 93 octane tune from OE tuning on my E550 coupe 2 days ago… really makes these cars quick!!! I’m already wondering if I should have them do a tcu tune to go with it!! They were great to work with answering all my questions before ordering, during install etc!! I’ve been very pleased so far. Only issue I’m having now is trying to get these Michelin pilots to hook up under 30mph when the boost hits from the OE tuning remap!!! Highly recommend OE so far!!

I just did an OE tune for one of my cars (using the supplied MyGenius) - it all went very smoothly and I am very happy with it!

A quick question: I'll return it to the stock ECU before taking the car in for service.

If Mercedes updates the ECU settings while it is in for service, what is the cost to send you the updated ECU file and have the tune applied to this new ECU update?

Free MyGenius re-flashes are included if the dealer overwrites your tuned map. (A "re-flash" is applying the already purchased calibration for the same VIN to a new software version)
You should always load the stock "ORIGINAL" file via MyGenius to your car prior to service, this makes reading a new version easy (if a new version is programmed during service). We will send you the steps to follow should the dealer update your ECU to a different software version than the tune was provided for.

If a tuned file is loaded to your car/ECU and the dealer updates software, the MyGenius still thinks the old tune is on your car. This will require a VIN unlock that carries a $150 unlock fee. So flash back to stock tune before dealer visits and there is no fee.

Wonderful - that is great to hear (and I really appreciate the fantastic "customer friendly" approach here). And I certainly will reinstall the stock tune before taking it in for service.

One last question - other than the service center telling me, is there an easy way for me to know if they have uploaded my ECU to a new version?

Once you get your car back from service, flash the tuned map back to your car. If at this time programming fails, the ECU version has been updated. As a safety fallback, MyGenius will not program versions that are different between the vehicle and MyGenius. If/when you come across this, please get in contact with us and we will assist with the steps to read the vehicle's ECU again.
(If the tune loads after service, then the software version has not changed or been updated)

That's great.

I have another car which has a tune on it from Eurocharged (also done using the MyGenius). However, with them, if Mercedes needs to re-flash the ECU with updated software, Eurocharged will charge $500 to re-apply their tune to the new ECU software version. So I either have to ask Mercedes not to update the ECU, or I have to pay Eurocharged $500 to get my "tune" back. I should have paid attention to that policy from Eurocharged when I was initially shopping.

In any case, it is OETuning for me from now on. The tune is great, the service is great, and the customer-friendly policy on updated ECU software is especially great.
