Long story made slightly shorter. Six weeks ago I purchased a 2014 white E400 Coupe here in Australia. On the sixth day of ownership, another driver went straight through a give way sign (think stop sign for US folks) and totalled my car. I loved the car for the short period of time I owned it and was able to find a silver one in Melbourne for sale. I live in Brisbane which is some distance away and ended up purchasing a 2015 E400 but in silver this time round. The process of buying a used car even with an independent third party inspection was a bit nerve fraying but I am now enjoying the car very much.
First off, I love the lines of the car and while it doesn't do supercar speed, it does everything very well. I like that the car isn't completely overrun with tech, that said it did take me a fair bit of time going through the manual and getting to speed on everything. I think the only thing I haven't figured out yet which I am not likely to use much of is the automatic parking feature.
Overall the car is smooth when required and can bite when put into sport mode and punched. I think the V6 twin turbo has enough grunt without me potentially losing my licence. As it is the car is bit thirsty, I think if I had the v8 I would likely be taking the bus. Anyways, nice to meet the MBW crew.
Animal Eater you will love the car. I have just sold my 2015 after 7 years of ownership. Thy are fantastic cars as long as you get it properly serviced in line with the handbook.
The motor is bullet proof and will deliver power on demand whenever you need it.
enjoy

So far so good. It is a very nice ride indeed. What did you replace yours with?
