Air Conditioning
Went to turn on my air conditioning in my 2010 e550 and it is as though there is no power going to the ac controls. No red light turned on or anything, completely dead. Is this a fuse issue? Any help would be appreciated.

I think that may have happened. Is there a way to see if the compressor is bad before changing the pulley? I have no ac codes at all.

see if you can spin compressor and listen/feel for bad sticky grinding etc.
Should be smooth with compression on output port and suck on large low pressure port.
might be easiest to remove and check.

I am pretty sure the nut is connected to compressor shaft so yes spin nut
unsure direction as it has been a while but shouldnot hurt spinning it with a wrench.
If compressor is toast, Proper repair is to completely flush can clean AC system before instaling any new part.
IF old compressor failed it likely pump out into the system junk and debris which will just make existing parts fail/clog and could come back and ruin new compressor.
You would need a new dryer(accumulator)
Proper repair of compressor replacement from one that failed is a big job.

Clutch's job is to "Seize up" and connect pulley to compressor shaft so it will spin.
Old age could be reason or some have a certain gap that can wear larger over time and then cause clutch to SLIP which would burn it up.

Ahh… I thought it may have seized while the compressor was off.
