A207 AC Panel removal

Hi, I’ve just bought a 2015 e220 Cabriolet… front plastic glass is cracked on the AC control unit so I’ve bought a replacement. Can anyone tell me how to remove the plastic trim that contains the silver button controls above the unit in order to get at the screws that holds the control unit in place. I’m able to pull out the bottom half of the trim above out but can’t see how the top half is held in. I can pull the bottom out enough to see two torque screws, do I need to remove these or will the trim come out without removing them. Don’t want to snap it for obvious reasons.

Thanks guys it’s my first time posting on here so hope I’m posting it in the right place

this very basic set of buttons are part of the LCP Module. It is a super fancy piece of circuitry. It is attached to the COMAND module.

To release it grap it from under the ledge that sticks out - See YT Video for specific steps.
🤞

Hi thanks for your reply, there isn’t a ledge that sticks out. What looks like a ledge where my finger is is actually flush and my finger is wedging it away from the rest of the panel. I have seen videos on YouTube where there’s a trim strip that can be pulled down from under a ledge but this doesn’t seem to be the case on my car.

disconnect Batts

let me recommend you do not start to unplug things with the battery normally connected.
The car should not get a chance to recognize missing assemblies such as AAC or COMAND...
