Marker Light

I have a 2012 Cabriolet and am wanting to replace the orange marker lights. How do you remove these marker lights?

I can reach behind the light and there appears to be a clip. When I release the clip, the back part of the light loosens, but I can not see how to actually remove it.

Are there two screws? Does the light need to be unplugged to remove the housing? If not, it looks like it should just swing out after the tab has been disengaged.

As it appears in photo lens is hinged, release locking tab unclip on hinge side.

From looking at the pic you posted which includes both the front and back piece, I may need to unclip the wiring harness. It looks like the front piece may not be able to swing out after releasing the locking tab if it is still plugged in. The pic I posted is of the new marker light. I'm not sure how that wiring harness fits into the pic you posted.

It appears replacement is not compatible. Here’s 212 same for 207, only two wires to existing socket.

These are LED. and I am assuming I would remove the bulb and plug the new marker light into the bulb receptable. But until I get it out, I don't really know.

Its sort of...pressure fit in there. Crank your steering all to one side for access and pop the fender liner loose. When you press that tab on the left, the back half sort of hinges on the right there and then will come out.
