Noisy Fan

I noticed today my fan is getting noisy. Doesn't matter whether the AC or heat is on. Suggestions? Anyone replace the fan?

Take a little time to read around this whole forum at your leisure. These great cars come standard with a squeaking fan. Members have done that a million time on every existing chassis.

You can lubricate the shaft with two drops of oil -Or replace the fan unit with another one...

While in there replace 'cabin pollen filter" as well.

Watch couple videos then have fun saving $1k all by yourself. Total time between 20 and 60mn.

Enjoy your ownership!

I watched several videos, but they all seem a bit different than what I have. A lot of vids from a W212, but not one from an A207. All the vids I watched had the climate control sensor mounted on the plastic panel under the dash. Mine does not. I could get the blower fan to rotate a bit, but not enough to remove it. It seems like it is getting caught on something. I can't really fit under the dash so I can't really see what is going on.

almost there ✔️

did you remember to disconnect the fan power connector ???

Expect only 1/4 turn or less before fan assembly can easily drop.

Use your iPhone selfie camera to see around the corner where your eyes can't go... post pics. Eventually turn on the flash and take a video clips for more details...
