Wipers Stuck in Service Position After Windshield Replacement
So I just got my windshield replaced and callibrated come to find out the windshield wipers are not returnig to their normal position stuck very low near the hood. I believe they're stuck in the service position and I'm not sure how to get them to return to the normal position. Anyone know how to fix this? I drive a 14' E350 Coupe.
Is it obvious, or maybe you just forgot how far they stick up? Gotta pix?
My guess is they removed them for the install and put them back on a tooth off. I've never pulled one on a MB but I've pulled a few on other make and they all had splines, and it was easy to screw up.
Terrible photo but the wipers are low near the hood not even on the windshield, they go up about half way on the windshield and then return back down... To be more clear they function but just not properly.
That is a crappy pix, but I see what you mean. I would say they put they put them back on wrong, the splines thing. I suppose you could take it back, but I'd just do it myself.
I bet $ the plastic cover just pops off by hand but I've never tried. Under there the nut on the splined shaft will be obvious.
If you do it, take pix so the next guy that has something to go on
I checked mine and it's as expected. Pop the covers off and nuts are exposed. The drivers has a plastic cover that just pops right off by hand. The pass has two and each has a small round cover, which i I put a yellow on
